A Splash Of Neon | Day Glo Collection

Neon is a continuing fashion trend, and it’s great to add a splash of colour to your wardrobe. So go ahead and brighten your look with the fun range of dressmaking patterns in the Day Glo Collection.

Michelle Obama neonWe absolutely adore bold, neon colours – and so does the First Lady herself. Michelle Obama looks fab in neon yellow, so be brave and wear it yourself by choosing your favourite shade and making one of the patterns in this bright collection. Our favourite is the Shirt Dress with Hip Yoke, which looks great in yellow too.

Neon colours and fun shapes like a pleated maxi skirt, ’70s style dress and two-tone track pants are playful for everyday wear. They’re great for the office, running errands, and can even be dressed up for parties.

Shades of coral, tangerine, and lemon are always welcome in the summer, but they can brighten your look in the autumn too. Find some contrast with bright turquoise jewellery, or let these pleated and ruffled designs speak for themselves with a minimalist pair of heels.

At the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards held recently, a few celebs were rocking neon colours too. Here are some of our faves:

Heidi Klum looked classy in a bright coral Zac Posen dress, and attended the awards with the designer himself! Teyonah Parris wore an attention-grabbing neon green and hot pink layered Monique Lhuillier dress. Zooey Deschanel opted for a ‘pretty in pink’ look with this fitted neon fuchsia Oscar de la Renta dress.
