We know you loved our Vintage magazine because it flew off the shelves! We are, therefore, delighted to say that all of the vintage patterns in the magazine are now available digitally here!
Whether you take your inspiration from Grace Kelly, looking effortlessly chic in the perfect prom dress; or Brigitte Bardot and her voluptuous silhouette in the original Little Black Dress, you will find what you’re looking for in this collection of styles from the fifties.
These are newly drafted patterns based on vintage originals, as opposed to the actual patterns due to the fact that body shapes have changed dramatically since the fifties. Women today would have a hard time fitting into the garments given their tiny waspish waists and tightly bound corseted bodices.
Other patterns available include a Balmain inspired oversized coat; an hourglass work suit with a cinched in waist, and a knitted, fitted sweater like those modelled by Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday. The styles celebrate the popular designers of the era such as Givenchy, Christian Dior and Chanel.
So step back in time and step into a the perfect prom dress or a chic sunsuit – perfect for relaxing sur la mer in Monaco…
